OTher Places to Play

There are thousands of places to play pickleball, this site only covers places to play pickleball right around Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. However, there are many other places, some near by that are not covered. This isn't because they aren't great places to play, it's just because I don't have enough up to date information on those places.

So, this page will give you some ideas for finding places to play that may be nearer to where you are (or where are going to be if your going on vacation, for example).

Places 2 Play

One of the best sources of information on places to play is the Places2Play website.  'Places 2 Play' lists thousands of places to play throughout the country and even internationally. There are ways to easily search by zipcode or for an entire state. You can also get to this site from the USA Pickleball Association website USAPA.org.

By the way, if the place(s) you play is not listed on the USAPA 'Places 2 Play' then please encourage the organizer to get it listed. This is a great way to help others find a place to play. This is really important for new players or for people who are traveling to new locations.

Parks and Recreation Departments

City, town or county parks and recreation departments often are involved with pickleball. They may run specific programs or maintain facilities. Sometimes finding pickleball on their websites can be a challenge, so it may be best to call if there is a phone number. Also, that way whoever you speak to may have information, not only about their programs, but who else you might contact.

Additional Resources

  • The local YMCA
  • Local tennis clubs. While in the past there have sometimes been strained relations between tennis and pickleball, more and more tennis clubs (and tennis players) are coming to pickleball.
  • Of course there is the obvious choice of simple doing a Google (or whatever search engine you prefer) search for pickleball near whatever location you'd like. This can sometimes find leads you can't find other ways. For example, a local newspaper article or TV station report on pickleball in a certain area. Often these include information about who to contact or where to show up.
  • Last and not least if you absolutely can't find any pickleball in your area, think about how you can get it started.
